From the Underwriting Desk
Most people use a mortgage calculator to get one number: the monthly payment. But the payment line on a calculator is just principal and interest. What actually hits your bank account every month — and what your lender uses to decide if you qualify — includes property taxes, homeowners insurance, and often mortgage insurance and HOA dues. That full picture is called PITI.
What this calculator does
The Mortgage Calculator estimates your monthly P&I payment using the home price, down payment, loan term, and interest rate. The deeper view adds taxes, insurance, PMI, and HOA so you see the real PITI number. The tool also reports your total interest paid and shows how each payment splits over time.
